The Buffer’s Story

Buffers first opened its doors in April 1991 on Wharncliffe Road, sharing a building with The Mufflerman. The business was founded through a partnership between Rob Arcese and Bob Montgomery—bringing together Rob’s financial and automotive background with Bob’s years of experience as a service representative for a major London GM dealership.

A few years later, the shop relocated to its current, larger facility on Wonderland Road to better support a growing list of dealership clients and to expand services, including hand washing and rustproofing.

More than three decades later, much remains the same. Buffers continues to serve both dealership and retail customers with the same friendly service and the same commitment to high-quality workmanship that has defined the business from the very beginning.
